Initiation Statement
The Trump Administration has changed U.S. immigration policy significantly within the first six months of the new presidency, which has concerned the immigration community deeply. News from untrustworthy sources and exaggerated ads on streets make the whole situation even fuzzier. As a result, many immigrants are confused and misled by all these pieces of information. Under such circumstances, ML and Chen, P.C. published the ML and Chen Immigration Newsletter, aiming to provide an objective, authoritative, and accurate guide for the immigrant community so that they can have a clear and reliable source for accurate information.

Ms. Yanfei Ran is in charge of the immigration division of ML and Chen, P.C. Yanfei is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). She has been admitted to the New York State Bar, U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts, and the U.S. EOIR Immigration Court. Besides being an attorney, Yanfei also has a prolific career in speaking, writing, and philanthropy. She is one of the major contributors to the book Dream Becomes True (A Comprehensive Legal Guide for Chinese Immigrants in the United States of America), published by the Chinese Christian Herald Crusades. She also regularly provides pro bono services for community organizations and individuals who cannot afford legal fees.
